Agility is the fastest growing canine sport. Dog/handler teams race against the clock and other teams through obstacle courses including jumps, tunnels, teeter-totters and weave poles. In the agility classes our instructors will show you tips and tricks on doing safe, fast and fun agility all in our fully matted, indoor, temperature Agilitycontrolled facility. Classes include: Puppy Agility, Agility Foundations, Agility I, Agility II, Agility III. As members of the Portland Agility Club, our instructors also train in other canine sports and are able to bring training tips and tricks from other sports.

Puppy Agility Classes

Agility is a great way to build confidence in your pup! Puppy Agility I teaches rapt attention, teamwork skills (for both you and the pup!), and safe, low-to-the-ground obstacle familiarization.  Puppies should already have completed a puppy training & socialization class, have basic obedience skills, and be under one year of age.

Puppy Agility II will teach you safe agility exercises and let you practice short runs designed specifically for puppies.

Agility I is a 6-week "getting started" class for dogs one year and older. The class covers agility obstacle familiarization and basic handling skills for the dog and handler. Dogs MUST have a solid sit, down, stay, and recall (come!) before starting class.

Awe jumpingAgility II is a six-week express-learning agility handling class for beginners covering crosses, serpentine, reading course maps, strategies, and teamwork skills with your dog.

Agility III adds more complexity to the agility courses. You will practice tight courses and thought-provoking handling skills designed for the enthusiastic beginner.

Agility Foundations will help you build attention, teamwork, and drive using toys and play. You will learn targeting, body language, body pressure, and other agility handling skills.
