The Canine Good Citizen (or CGC) test is a certification offered by the American Kennel Club (AKC) and is open to dogs of any breeding, pure or mixed. The test is comprised of ten different skills which you and your dog must pass to prove that your dog is a Canine Good Citizen. Pup-A-Razzi offers both a 6-week preparatory class to ready you for the test, and the test itself. In order to be most fair to your dog, the class and the CGC Test are conducted by different instructors and evaluators.
Canine Good Citizen Class: Preparation! The Canine Good Citizen class covers the exercises included in the Canine Good Citizen test offered by the American Kennel Club (AKC). Any dog, purebred or All-American, can earn a CGC certificate. The exercises included in this test are WONDERFUL manners which will work in every day life. For example, your dog should stay quietly by your side while you hold a conversation with another person. (This means, he will not jump up!) Sounds great, eh? Believe us, it's loads of fun!
